Key Features of Reporting Maestro
Orders

Orders contain several individual tasks (e.g. generate report, archive report as PDF on disk server, print report), which can be activated or deactivated. They relate to single Portfolios or to lists of portfolios and can be started on an ad-hoc or recurrent (scheduled) basis.
Order executions
Order executions can be time-driven, triggered through external events (such as availability of data required for report production) or a combination of both. Each execution is divided into single tasks; each task executes a workflow in order to process one document. The order execution status is automatically aggregated from the status values of each task and displayed on the web front end. Historical status values are kept for auditing purposes. Only tasks which aborted due to external error conditions are repeated to minimize order execution run times.
Tasks
Tasks are the smallest processing units in the product. They execute a workflow which can be completely customized by the customer. The main purpose of that workflow is to produce one document and drive it through the process chain. Tasks can be restarted after failing, and their state is fully historized, enhancing reliability and traceability of the whole process.
